About Cabarrus County Schools

Cabarrus County Schools has been educating students for nearly 100 years. Our school system’s story is woven into the fabric of Concord and its surrounding areas.
We educate over 30,000 students in 41 schools – making our system among the largest in North Carolina and one of the largest employers in Cabarrus County.
In today’s competitive environment, we understand that parents have choices when making decisions about where to educate their children. Cabarrus County Schools wants to be that choice.
We offer students a broad range of educational opportunities and experiences. Everything from a time-tested, traditional education to STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), International Baccalaureate, and career and technical education options to world languages, early college, fine arts, and gifted education to athletics, exceptional children, global studies, and language immersion is available for students – clearly setting us apart.
Progressive, innovative, and child-centered are just a few of the adjectives used to describe our school system. Students are educated by highly trained, talented, and caring teachers in classrooms infused with the technology and tools needed to help them reach their full potential.
