J.N. Fries STEM MS - Proposal Details

  • J.N. Fries Middle School (JNFMS) will be a whole school STEM school in 2017-2018.  Students will be staggered by year in the JNFMS attendance boundary.  In the 2017-2018 school year, only rising 6th grade students living in the attendance zone will attend JNFMS along with Magnet students. There will be another 6th grade group entering JNFMS from the boundary in the 2018-2019 school year.  By 2019-2020, all middle school students living in the JNFMS boundary will attend JNFMS.

Attendance Boundary Description

The proposed J. N. Fries Middle School boundary begins at the intersection of Old Charlotte Road and Warren Coleman Blvd.  It will follow the east side of Old Charlotte Road to the intersection of Roberta Road.  The boundary will continue following the east side of Roberta Road to Coddle Creek.  It will follow Coddle Creek to NC Highway 49.  The boundary will follow the west side of NC Highway 49 to Warren Coleman Blvd.  The boundary will then follow the south side of Warren Coleman Blvd. to its origination point with Old Charlotte Road.
