Rising 6th Grade Parent Night We are hosting a rising sixth grade parent night on April 6th from 6:00-7:30pm. Topics included are: Academics and Curriculum, IB transition, Positive Behavior Support, Transportation, Enrichment and Intervention, Encore Classes, Attendance and Student Health.

A required parent meeting for the upcoming 8th grade Washington D.C. trip will be held at 6:00pm Monday, April 10th in the school auditorium.
Our Teens for Jeans was a great success! Our National Junior Honor Society collected over 160 pairs of jeans! These jeans will be donated to the Christian ministry.
Winkler Middle is hosting a food drive- please give Ramen noodles, oatmeal (packets), and/or fruit cups. The donations from this drive goes to a nonprofit agency that helps to feed families in Cabarrus County. The homeroom with the most donations will earn a breakfast party. Thanks for donating

Wolves For Fitness Club
Come and get fit with Winkler's Fitness Club! This new club will meet on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 4:00-5:00PM. If you have any questions ask Coach Hesse, Hoban or Ridgley.
Winkler Middle School was awarded Model Status for our implementation of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports by NCDPI. In order to earn Model status Winkler had to meet state implementation criteria and have universal expectations in place. Winkler has been implementing PBIS for 4 years and we are excited to move from Green Ribbon status to Model status this year. For more information about PBIS click here.
