     Student Council has paired up with I Love My City to have a Spruce Up Day here on our campus this Saturday, April 29 from 9:00-12:00!  This is a great opportunity to have NCMS stand out in the community spotlight; please consider participating to help beautify our school!

  • Final Exam, EOG and EOC tests are once again on their way and we are asking for volunteers to proctor on the following dates:

    To volunteer or if you have any questions, contact Tina Duncan at 704-788-4135 x1330 or email tina.duncan@cabarrus.k12.nc.us.  You may also fill out out the form HERE and have your student(s) return it to their homeroom teacher.  The time commitment would be from 8:15 until 12:30 or until the test is completed.  Proctors must be at least 18 years of age and can include Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Neighbors.  We thank you SO MUCH for helping!!!

    Congratulations to our NCMS Robotics Team for winning 2nd place in the North Carolina VEX-IQ STATE Championships; they missed 1st by just 2 points and this was the first time NCMS has ever participated!!  Way to go Titans!!  A write-up of this awesome 1st season can be found HERE and pictures/videos on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pg/ncmstitans

  • On February 20th, the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners recognized NCMS 8th grade student Lorelei L. for taking First Place in the Cabarrus County Soil and Water Conservation District’s speech contest. Lorelei now advances to the Area VIII Public Speaking Competition, which will be held Saturday, March 11th at the Union County Agriculture Center. First place winners at the Area level will advance to the State Competition in Raleigh, held in May. Pictured with Lorelei is her English Language Arts teacher, Jane Jacobs. Way to go Lorelei!!!!

  • Congratulations to the members of the 8th grade band on earning straight superior ratings from all four judges Thursday, March 10th at the State Music Performance Assessment on the campus of Wingate University! Superior is the highest rating given to bands in our state and represents the finest, most polished performance. Way to go Northwest 8th grade band!
