  • Coltrane-Webb has been recognized as a NC STEM School of Distinction at the Model Level - the State's highest rating for STEM Schools!

For the 2016-2017 School Year, the N.C. Science, Mathematics and Technology Education Center recognized 7 Schools as “STEM Schools of Distinction”. Four of those Schools were selected at the “Model Level of Achievement”, the highest designation for STEM Education in North Carolina. We are thrilled that Coltrane-Webb has received this amazing honor! The STEM Recognition Program was developed by the NC Department of Public Instruction as a way to identify and recognize exemplary STEM Schools. Schools pursuing recognition underwent a rigorous application process that required: Detailed responses and evidences addressing 40 key elements that define quality characteristics of STEM education, a self-assessment of the School, identification of one best practice demonstrating educational excellence, and a site visit from a STEM Review Committee.

Front Office Reminders

  • Volunteering?

In order to volunteer in your child’s classroom, you will need a current Volunteer Background Check on file with the County Office. A Background Check is also required if you would like to go along on a field trip with your child and for parents who invite a friend to sit with their child for lunch in the Cafeteria. Background Checks typically take anywhere between 7 to 10 business days to process and are good for 2 years. Please contact Beth Wilburn (elizabeth.wilburn@cabarrus.k12.nc.us) in the office if you have any questions or if you need the necessary paperwork. Click on CCS Volunteer in 'Quick Links'.
